We would appreciate all you veterans, family members, supporters, & are givers to write a letter or notes on what Dryhootch means to you and others. Many wrote a letter to the Milwaukee VA and we now think its critical that the public now view what we as a group has achieved and why this mission is important.
Please post your letters and thoughts here.
Regards
Bob

And don't forget to mention, Aaron, that Veterans Media Services offers the opportunity for veterans to express themselves through video production. From learning film making to making PSAs for fine veterans organizations, like Dryhootch, our mission is to serve folks who have served us so well!

hi bob and all of my dryhootch brothers and sisters! bob and i have suffered from PTSD for a very long time. being together since day one in the military and seeing the things we saw in vietnam, we had the same stressor that triggered the downward spiral of our lives for the last 30+ years. we cannot...will not!...allow this to go on. dryhootch is that stopping point! hopefully we will be able to see that madness stop!!! one thing i know in my heart, as long as dryhootch is around there will be hope for a good life for troubled vets and their families! bob, june. johnny and all that give their all for this incredible venture...God bless you!
Dryhootch.org is a place where I can give back. I plan to devote my time and energy to help vets as a way of saying thanks to the assistance I received at the VA and in the community when I was having hard times. It's a place to listen because so often people feel that they have not been heard or worse yet ignored. So I want to be someone that a vet can count on.
Dry Hootch is a wonderful concept. I don't think we can do or provide enough support to our Veterans. The VA and medical system in this country does what it can but my experience with Vets has shown that they feel most comfortable being with & talking with their own kind - people who have shared their experiences. Dry Hootch fills a big gap between the hospital/clinical setting and the Vet's family and/or self medication.
In spite of the way they have been treated, Vietnam Vets have taken the high road and done so much to help anyone in need - each other, reaching out to other Vets and even civilian populations in their communities who need help.
