Start New Chapter

chapter

As another generation of Americans return from war, we find military and VA hospitals overwhelmed with veterans in need, tight budgets, and many times inadequate staff & facilities.

Many times the returning veterans finds him/herself wanting to get back to the "real world", forget what happened, move on. Often veterans do not consider asking for help as they feel their medical record may show treatment from "mental health." This can impact their remaining in the military, or affect what types of jobs their choice of career in the civilian market.

THe effects of PTSD can lessened if treatment occurs early after onset. Dryhootch offers the veteran an alternative. They can talk to a veteran peer for advise, attend groups, and inquire about treatment alternatives without fear of repercussions.

Problems faced by veterans in Milwaukee are faced by those returning to any community in the country. This program run by veterans can offer help in your hometown. Contact Dryhootch to see how you can start a chapter in your area.
