War, Art, & Veteran

Dryhootch has partnered with the Milwaukee Art Museum and the National Veterans Art Museum to bring a World Class Art Exhibit to open on the day of the Wisconsin Warrior Summit on October 22nd!

It is difficult for a combat veteran to explain what war is, especially his or her war. How can you describe the smell, the wind, the sand, the explosion? And the fear of being judged by someone who has never put on his/her boots, fought for their life, or that of a buddy.

Now you can see it through his/her art, be it a painting, photo, sculpture or more.

Art can be therapy to the veteran who struggles to express what his/her minds struggles to process.

The results can be seen at the Milwaukee Art Museum from October 22, 2009 to November 15th 2009.
