Thank you so much for one - protecting our country and second wanting to help us out. I have attached the booklet with all of their stories and sculptures. Below is a PSA. I know time is running out, but I am looking for a Christmas Miracle. Or maybe drop back and punt or throw a Hail Mary Pass.
cheers
Patty
This project allows America’s Veterans in Milwaukee to channel their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder feelings by creating sculptures with found objects. The Charles Allis Art Museum offers them a safe place for them to go, tell their story through art, and without any fear of consequences.
Through the assistance of two outstanding artists and art therapists from Milwaukee Veterans Administration Hospital, they will enable these veterans to channel their feelings and tell their stories through art. Each workshop is three hours long for four weeks. After the veterans have completed their works of art, the Charles Allis Art Museum will host an exhibit. During opening night, the public has the opportunity to meet and talk with these veterans about their sculptures. Our goal is offer this program quarterly.
“I’ve very much enjoyed being able to construct this robot while here at the local VA Hospital and rescuing my life back to structure and discipline. Thank you again for this opportunity.”

Our project is Empowering our American Veterans through Art workshop. We are positive you have touched many lives by serving our Country. Now it is our time to support and “Thank you.” After fighting for our freedom, Veterans come home and are suffering PTSD. These workshops help them work through their trauma.
To date, we have raised 13% of our goal. We have partnered with the GlobalGiving Foundation to participate in its Open Challenge, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations working around the world.
In order to succeed in GlobalGiving’s Open Challenge, the Charles Allis Art Museum must raise $4,000 from 50 donors by December 22, 2010.
Please help us reach the threshold of $4,000 from 50 donors! Be one of the first people to make a donation at http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/empowering-our-american-veterans-through-art/ Not only will your donation help the Veterans Art program at the Charles Allis but, it will help us take advantage of a long-term fundraising opportunity!
Warm Regards,
Patty Redeker
