I want to cry. I want to embrace everyone of our Veterans so that you know we care about you. How can we help?

Keith, I remember him so well.

He served, he continued to serve.

Yesterday on WPR.org, David Phillips, author of Lethal Warriors, said that our soldiers are so kind and nobel

- but the war experience changes a person's life.

I know ~ I have seen first hand the effects of war.

Every Veteran who reads this - I want you to know:

I embrace you spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

Please get any help and health care you need ~ you deserve it.

How can I help you?

Sister Ann Catherine Veierstahler, SCSJA, RN

Sister of 3 brothers who are Veterans

Sister of Charity of St. Joan Antida

Served with the ICRC in Cambodia in 1980 (International Committee of the Red Cross)

Volunteer at VA Hospital in Milwaukee, WI

I continue to cry for this loss of a very precious life ~ a causalty of war

Dear Sister Catherine -

Thank you so much for your words - I can feel your genuine caring and support right through them! Thank you for taking the time to write them - without that sincere caring from others many solders would "lose" their way. It's so very important that we hear from those who honestly do care about what we went through, and are still going through in so many ways.

You too are a genuine hero! Thank you for serving - and for still serving! Thank you too for your prayers - even us old folks really need them! The world is better because of people like you!
