When I blogged a few weeks ago I was really feeling down on my luck. I was focusing on the uncertainties I faced being in summer school at UWM and not receiving the amount of financial aid I had expected.
Then, suddenly, I got a new job, had a good interview about being an intern at a community organization and worked out a solution to my car problems. Now, I can see solutions to some of the things that were bothering me. I even called the VA to reschedule an appointment instead of ducking away. The first sumer class ended with a bang as I earned another A. I will take a break from school for a few weeks while work starts up. In a couple of weeks I will get my first full check from work. And I will be looking for more opportunities that may become available in the community.
I was also glad to read about the new supported apartment building being built by the Center for Veterans Issues. There is much to be thankful for at this time and to remember everything starts with having the courage to continue.
