I will be turning 66 next year and plan to retire. At 65, I registered for Medicare Part A. I receive my medical care right now from the VA, and I'm in their Priority 6.
My question is... Do I need to get a Medicare Advantage Plan when I retire and drop my employer's plan? If my co-pays for outpatient care ($15) and medications ($8) are so low from the VA, why should I pay more in premiums for an Advantage Plan or Part D??? It's not required, is it?
Thanks!!
