Vietnam Vet Tribute at Reclaiming Our Heritage

As a continuation of the state welcome home at Lambeau Field next May, Reclaiming Our Heritage will be paying tribute to Vietnam Vets at the annual event, June 5-6, 2010. Can you help with the planning? It would be great if some of our Gulf War/OIF/OEF vets could help. We're open to all ideas.

So far we have been working on a better, more accessible location for the Vietnam Camp which, in the last two years, has almost doubled in size. Mike Weaver's 16th Medical Detachment camp and Tom Buehler's displays have been the focus, but there are a couple of other groups, one comprised of Vietnam Vets. We also have a couple of military vehicles. We'd like more of everything!

The Historical Presentation Tent and Authors' Tent will also be in this area. So if you know of any possible presenters or authors (including our own Bob C.), let me know.

What about a poster, photo or essay contest for high school students? Or for Vietnam Vets themselves?

Post to this blog or give me a call: 414-427-3776. Now's a good time to start brainstorming.

So someone in the Dryhootch ranks thinks a commemorative coffee mug (with coupon for a cup of Dryhootch coffee tucked inside) might make a good commemorative item.
